Minor Update

Part 1 – Enchant system

Our enchant system has been remodelled. It is based on the principle of “the safer the scroll, the lower its chance”. By safe I mean that there are scrolls with higher chances than others. But why the changes? To make it more challenging and interesting for players.

A) Safe enchant
The safe enchant was reduced from 7 to 3. Maximum enchant level remains at 30.

B) Available scrolls

Normal weapon & armor enchant scrolls
  • Chances: See chart below
  • Grades: D, C, B, A, S and R grade
  • Enchant levels: From 1 to 30
  • Fail enchant: Weapon gets crystallized

Blessed weapon & armor enchant scrolls
  • Chances: Same as normal scrolls
  • Grades: D, C, B, A, S and R grade
  • Enchant levels: From 1 to 30
  • Fail enchant: The enchant level gets reset to 0

Ancient weapon & armor enchant scrolls
  • Chances: 20% lower chance compared to the normal scrolls
  • Grades: B, A, S and R grade
  • Enchant levels: From 1 to 16
  • Fail enchant: The enchant level remains the same

Divine weapon & armor enchant scrolls
  • Chances: 100% success rate
  • Grades: B, A, S and R grade
  • Enchant levels: From 1 to 30
C) Chances in general
The chances were changed for weapons & armors/jewelleries. The higher the enchant level, the lower the chance of success. The enchant chances for armor/jewellery is higher than for a weapon.





D) Others
  • The item “Enchant Scroll Box 1 & 2” no longer contain normal weapon enchant scrolls
  • The chances to get an ancient or divine enchant scroll out of the “Enchant Scroll Box 1 & 2” has been slightly reduced
  • Enchant Armor & Weapon R-grade scrolls can now be spoiled in the following areas: Dragon Valley, Antharas’ Lair, Seed of Annihilation. This measure should give more weight to spoiler classes

Hallo

I needed time to think about this and if I add this feature which ratio will be chosen.
From now on you can exchange your Olympiad Token for Fame. The ratio is 25:1. On one hand I checked how many olympiad tokens are around on all characters. On the other hand, becoming Hero isnt that hard. That is why I decided to use this ratio.

Hello

All dropcalc chances are now correctly calculated.
A Monster has items with and without a group. If you sum up all the chances within a group its always 100%. The groups itself are different. Meaning every monster has different groups by amount and items within.

Here is an example how the chances are calculated:

Group A, 100%
Item 1, 25% --> 25% dropchance
Item 2, 25% --> 25% dropchance
Item 3, 25% --> 25% dropchance
Item 4, 25% --> 25% dropchance

Group B, 80%
Item 1, 25% --> 20% dropchance (25% x 0.8 )
Item 2, 25% --> 20% dropchance (25% x 0.8 )
Item 3, 25% --> 20% dropchance (25% x 0.8 )
Item 4, 25% --> 20% dropchance (25% x 0.8 )

That is correct. I dont remember which chronicle update it was when it was removed. But its not a server like custom feature. It was removed from ncsoft in the official updates.

Oh I disagree with you. Spellhowlers skills are wind based. So a SH is normally wind attribut on his weapon. It would be a huge loss if he wouldnt use it but using death spike instead. The skills itself have the very same power.

So long answer short. I dont think its necessary to bring back the cursed bones.
